Theano Point

Theano Point may be the site of the first Uranium discovery in Canada. The rock exposed here is highly fractured granite, mineralized with pink calcite, chlorite, hematite, and pitchblende. Pitchblende is a highly radioactive mineral. Powdered hematite has been used for centuries as a red pigment in paint.
